Inter-terminal transportation is a crucial aspect of any major airport, as it allows the passengers to connect to the terminals and other locations within the airport, instantly. This allows the passengers to save time especially when they have connecting flights from the destination. So, there are two available inter-terminal transportation options at IAH which are as follows:
- Skyway
The Skyway station at George Bush Intercontinental Airport is situated at Level 3 of each of the passenger terminals. This Airside connection allows passengers to connect to any of the terminals for their connecting flights or to move to and from the terminals locations, without having to go through the security check-ins everytime. The skyway runs everyday at IAH and is accessible to passengers at a zero cost.
- Subway
The next option travellers have is the Subway, a landslide connection which allows passengers to access the pre-security areas. The subway runs from each of the terminals at George Bush Intercontinental Airport including the airport hotel Marriott. The subway station is located at “Level LL” of each of the passenger terminals and it operates every day from 3:30am to 12:30am and is not available between 12:30am and 3:30am.
